Term 4 2016 and Term 1 2017

Burnside Primary School offers Netball as a year round core After School Sport for students in Years 2 -7. The Summer Season commences in Term 4 and concludes at the end of Term 1 and the Winter season commences in Term 2 and concludes at the end of Term 3.

The school plays in the Eastern Districts Netball Association competition and follows their guidelines and age limits, competing against schools such as Magill, Loreto, Linden Park and Marryatville.

Matches are played on Saturday’s at the following courts:

Emery Road – Cambelltown

Lothian Avenue – Windsor Gardens

Phillis Street – Maylands

Winter Season : Match times are confirmed before the commencement of the season but as a rough guide Netta games are either 11am or 12pm, Primary games are either 12pm or 1pm, and Sub Junior games are either 1pm, 2pm or 3pm.

Summer Season : Match times are confirmed before the commencement of the season but as a rough guide Netta games are either 5:45pm or 6:40pm, Primary games are either 6:40pm, 7:30pm or 8:20pm, and Sub Junior games are either 7:30pm, 8:20pm or 9:10pm.

There are modified rules for each age group and these are outlined in the Season Program each coach will receive at their first game. There are no finals for Netta and Primary age groups.

Uniforms – All team members must be in the approved uniform for all matches.

· Black Pleated Netball skirt

· Black School Polo top to be worn for matches

· Socks that are visible and cover the ankle must be worn at all times.

· Black briefs must be worn and bike pants not permitted without a doctor’s certificate.

· No jewellery including taped studs are permitted.

· Black tracksuit pants/school windcheater can be worn by one or all players on a team during games, however all players must still wear a skirt over their tracksuit pants.

· Nails must be trimmed appropriately and checked by the umpires before each game.
